HTP® KeyMod RailScales® - An alternative to our G10 line of machined RailScales, the HTP Scales are available with our same patented textures and hardware in an affordable heat-stabilized nylon. The injection molded High Temp Polymer scales come in 4 popular industry colors: Black, Flat Dark Earth, Sniper Grey and OD Green. They are available in 3 and 4 pack quantities to allow for a variety of setups on your rail, and coming in at only 0.010” thicker than our G10 line you will be able to outfit your firearm with added texture, grip and heat protection at a reduced cost.

3 Painful review of HTP scales

Gentlemen, Please allow me to preface this with the fact that I do realize I bought the HTP version, which is the cheapest but I needed to make sure I was willing to spend $50+ for G10 units I feel confident you would understand. My initial reaction was that they were ok but then I noticed the mold tabs that weren’t cleaned up and were miscolored. Again I know they were $10 each roughly but still not the QC or quality I was expecting from the undisputed king of badass rail panels. They’re currently on our weapons and the original concept was to buy the XOS scales currently rethinking this. I don’t feel as if I got my money’s worth and maybe I should have bought the bad ass ones the first time but I wasn’t ready to commit. Overall love the way they look but not exactly knocked over by the QC, especially knowing they come from the masters themselves. Please forgive the review. I have enjoyed having these but maybe should have bought the XOS the first time.

I have a few sets of the honeycomb scales. Everyone who has used or simply handled my RS equipped rifles loves them. The added grip and super low profile of these makes them a must on every rifle I own.

These things are great. I put some on my bootleg 10.5 upper and it really does prevent heat transfer into your hand. Also, they look sick. If you want some hand protection that is light, aesthetically pleasing, and functional then consider these.

I have a set of the honeycombs on my 556 and these are the best rail covers I’ve had. Light, good texture, and stay in position. I’ve had several others that would not stay in position or offered less grip. Will be ordering another set for my 308 DMR

More than half my rifles have some kind of rail scale on them. Some of them are colored to match and some are black. I love the fact they help with holding the handguard during long strings of fire to protect your hand from the heat and keep a good grip.
